The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has announced a significant change to its visa-vetting procedures that will affect all individuals applying for H-1B visas and their H-4 dependents. Beginning December 15, consular officers will conduct an online presence review – commonly referred to as social-media screening – for all H-1B/H-4 applicants.
